ABOUT THE TUTOR:
Emma is a contemporary jeweller with a passion for sustainability. Her latest collection comprises 100% recycled silver and gold plus reclaimed materials, all made with efficient production processes. In 2011, Emma’s work combining craft and sustainability saw her voted one of The Age’s Top 100 most inspiring and influential people.
Her latest work features bold contemporary designs with fine detail and tiny blooms of colour. Each piece is cut, stamped and textured by hand, embracing the Japanese notion of ‘Wabi Sabi’ where small irregularities make for a thing of beauty.
Presented as part of FCAC’s Arts Learning program.
