Block Printing with Tote Bags
Design your own printed tote bag with textile artist Annick Akanni. This is a hands on workshop where you will explore various techniques such as colour mixing, drawing with fabric pens, composing patterns and how to transfer your design to fabric. Go home with your very own printed tote bag!

ABOUT THE TUTOR: Annick Akanni
Annick Akanni is a freelance designer currently based in Melbourne. Annick comes from primarily a Fashion and Textile background, however possesses great interest in the areas of Interior design, decoration and styling.
Self-described as an average creative with a specialty in textile design, Annick specifically works with woven and printed textiles. Using earthy colours combined with texture and volume, her work is bold and honest. The inspiration for Annick’s work evolves through narrative – she takes you through her world and love for travel, history and the diverse cultures we live in. Annick is currently working as a freelance designer both with small businesses, while creating her own array of hand made textile products.
