Explore art making, ceremony and memory through a four week residency and exhibition program with local senior women of the Eritrean community. During the residency, we welcome senior members of the community to showcase both traditional and contemporary practices such as bead making, crocheting, and jewellery making.
The exhibition will present an interwoven narrative of ceremony, history and storytelling asking: what happens to a memory not shared or an art form not taught?
LAUNCH: Thursday 4 August, 6pm – 8pm
EXHIBITION: Friday 5 August – Saturday 3 September
VENUE: FCAC Roslyn Smorgon Gallery
Presented as part of Creatively Ageing, an FCAC Creative and Industry Initiative.
