School Holiday Theatre Intensive
Extraordinary Storytime: From Page to Stage with PO PO MOCO
Event Information

Award-winning artists PO PO MO CO will facilitate theatre making workshops for budding performers. Through games, physical theatre, characters, clowning, dancing and singing the participants will create their own extraordinary mini stage shows inspired by picture books. Participants will be guided through the tricks of the trade: to make the favourite story books leap off the page! Guaranteed to be funny and fabulous! 

Suitable for all levels of experience and abilities.

When: 19, 20, 21 & 22 April, 10am-3pm
Before care: 8:30-10am
After care: 3-5pm
Showcase: Friday 22 April, 2:30pm

Suitable for ages 6-12. Please bring your own play lunch and lunch, water bottle and hat.

Meet the Artists
  • PO PO MO CO

    PO PO MO CO are an award winning queer comedy troupe based in Melbourne. Their theatre work incorporates physical theatre, visual deliciousness, ridiculous characters and clown all underpinned with a deep celebration of human stupidity. They make work for young people as well as adults and have toured nationally and internationally. PO PO MO CO are an ensemble of four core members – Kimberley Twiner, Lily Fish, Sunanda Sachatrakul and Hallie Goodman. 

COVID Safety

The health and safety of our staff, artists and patrons is Footscray Community Arts’ highest priority. You will be required to follow all COVID-19 protocol at the centre. Please bring a mask to wear in any indoor or outdoor spaces where social distancing is not possible. You will also be expected to observe to maximum room capacities, printed outside each venue. Adults will also need to show their vaccination status in line with government guidelines.
