Position Available: Creative Producer, Indigenous Cultural Programs

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Creative Producer, Indigenous Cultural Programs, works as a key member of Footscray Community Arts Centre’s (FCAC) programming team to accomplish the organisation’s artistic vision and support FCAC’s leadership position in the field of contemporary arts and community engagement.

Responsible for working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, the Creative Producer curates and delivers an ambitious, unconventional and innovative artistic program, with, for and by the Indigenous community.

As this person acts as a key conduit between FCAC and the broader Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities of Melbourne’s west, it is essential that the incumbent has experience in liaising with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and highly desirable that the incumbent has existing knowledge of the community of Melbourne’s metropolitan region. Additionally, the role requires a highly flexible approach to working hours, including some work after hours and/or weekends. Whilst overtime is not payable, time in lieu for additional hours worked may be negotiable.

This is position is an identified position for an Indigenous person.
