The Poetry is an annual premier performance poetry event One Night Stanza that features a line-up of local, national and international artists.

One Night Stanza is Footscray Community Art Centre’s premier performance poetry event. The curated performance poetry event features local, national and international artists. The event showcases artists that marry creatively exceptional performances with socially and politically engaged content.

Previous One Night Stanza events have featured Mark Gonzales (USA), Bao Chan Nguyen (Vietnam), Anis Mojgani (USA), Atong Atem (Melbourne), Amal Kassir (USA), Jhoanna Lynn B Cruz (Philippines), Manal Younus (Adelaide), Jessi Giles (Melbourne), Mayda Del Valle (USA), Helen Kassa (Melbourne) and many more.
