Demeysa Ahmed

“I was lucky enough to be involved in the Emerging Cultural Leaders program which runs every year with a different group of participants. Through this I got the chance to fine tune my ambitious and career path in life. While participating in the ECL program I as inspired to be more involved within the community, just because of the genuine love and support that FCAC radiated while I was there, it was very homely.”

My favourite FCAC moment

“When Thomas the student which I tutor every Tuesday at FCAC preformed with confidence in front of a large audience at the ArtLife greatest hits showcase and rocked it! That was a significant moment for me. There are many more but that one is one of my favourite FCAC moments.”

Demeysa Ahmed migrated to New Zealand from Ethiopia when he was nine years of age. After seven years there he moved to Australia in 2005 where he completed his schooling, up to Year 12 VCE.
