FCAC Toddler Jam!

Overview

Due to the easing of Government restrictions, some programs will recommence on-site from Tuesday 15 June 2021.
Visitors must be booked into a program before visiting our indoor spaces. FCAC’s galleries will remain closed to the public until further easing of restrictions are announced. You can still enjoy our outdoor exhibitions CONNECT and Weaving Sustainable Culture. For the full update, click here.

Toddler Jam is packed with learning and fun for bubs and big people!

Each class involves a mixture of percussion, singing, dancing, story-time and mindfulness. Music ignites all areas of a child’s development and helps them not just intellectually, but socially too. Having a boogie is great for developing motor skills, while allowing your child to express themselves.

Class tutor Razz is a long-time member of the FCAC community and is highly skilled in getting toddlers active and learning through play, music and stories. Razz’s fresh and fun music selection sets these classes apart so that big people can get down too! Parents are welcome to join the class or have a rest while your bubs sing and play.

Redeem your ticket for a FREE coffee at precinct hot spot Myrtle Wine Café! Head to FCAC reception and show your ticket to receive a coffee coupon. Too easy!

We’ll see you on the dancefloor!

About the Teaching Artist

RAZZ RASMUSSEN

Razz is a performer, musician and passionate curator of arts experiences for pre-school and primary school aged children.

In 2009, while touring nationally with children’s band The Mighty bUZZniks, Razz began designing and running Music for Toddlers at FCAC. Her mission is to immerse children in a world of fascinating music, not only unpatronising for them, but even enjoyable for adults! With a profound love of children’s literature, Razz has recently begun to incorporate story telling in her toddler classes.

Razz also has many years of experience delivering music workshops for the School Holiday Arts Program at FCAC, and Yarraville Special Development School.

Since 2018 Razz has rocked the ‘family disco’ world, setting dance floors ablaze as DJ RazzBerry Berét!

Equipped with a Bachelor of Music from Melbourne Polytechnic, and a Diploma of Public Art from RMIT, Razz believes in what art and music can bring to community, and what community can bring to life.
