Victoria Together: Blak to the Future III

Overview

Footscray Community Arts Centre (FCAC) presents Blak to the Future, returning for its third and ultimate exhibition. This virtual iteration takes form in a world beyond the apocalypse.

Curated by Rosie Kalina (Wemba Wemba, Gunditjmara) come and join us for an immersive arts experience. Created with the philosophy of ‘for us, by us’, this exhibition sees young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists decolonising Narrm – celebrating a future that is Blak, bright, young and deadly.

Featuring works by Isobel Morphy-Walsh, Rosie Kalina, Pierra Van Sparkes, Kaitlyn Kyle-Taylor, Melody Clinch, Tre Turner, Sky Thomas, Caleb Thaidy, Apryl Louise Day, Willahra and Kirrawai, Hannah Morphy-Walsh, take a step through a portal into an alternate reality: a future foretold by young Aboriginal people.
