Women in Conversation: Bring a Plate Picnic
Celebrate International Women’s Day at our Women in Conversation: Bring a Plate Picnic.
The Women, Art & Politics (WAP) program is an opportunity to explore contemporary intersectional feminism and create an all-inclusive space for resistance, knowledge sharing and constructive dialogue. Through a diverse, mobilised community of women and non-binary people, we drive these conversations further by exploring emerging ideas, identifying synergies and creating opportunities for collaboration.
Our 2019 WAP program provides a platform for amplifying women’s voices. Events include Yunggama, an exhibition by Keerray Wurrong/ Gunditjmara woman Vicki Couzens and her daughters Jarrah Bundle and Yaraan Bundle; and M: Kaddish For The Children, a performance by Deborah Leiser-Moore.
The program will culminate in a Women in Conversation: Bring a Plate Picnic coinciding with International Women’s Day, where participants and audiences will gather with artists and the community over food for critical feminist discourse.
