Louisa Carter

Louisa is passionate about the creative process and its power to help build strong communities and well-being.

She brings experience in both the Australian and New Zealand disability, mental health and community arts sector.

Under the National Disability Insurance Scheme framework, she has a keen interest in ensuring practising artists are active contributors to the arts both locally and internationally.

Since joining the organisation in 2018, Louisa has developed robust systems to support Footscray Community Arts’ operations as a NDIS provider. Her approach to this work has centred participants preferences, needs and ambitions. Her strengths lie in compliance, quality management, workflow development and program management.

A Bachelor in Fine Arts from Massey University has given Louisa a strong foundation to pursue collaborative projects and facilitate art programs.
