Years P-8: This Is Definitely Not A Box with the indirect Object

Led by the indirect Object, in this workshop students take an ordinary box as a starting point and transform its meaning.

What is a box? A gift or surprise? A delivery of something new or storage for something old? Guided by the indirect Object and using creative 3D design skills, participants work alone or in small groups to deconstruct and reimagine. There’s only one rule – the box can be anything you want, but it can’t be a box anymore. 

**Artists are subject to availability. Substitutes artists available for this workshop. 

Experience 

• Meeting and learning from award winning artists the indirect Object 
• Learning basic design and technology concepts 
• Understanding how we can repurpose objects for the sake of art 
• The value of upcycling objects and recyclable materials 

Duration: 2 hours
Cost:  $400* (Capacity of 40 students)
*Schools with <1000 SFOE ranking are eligible for subsidised rates.
