Gabriela Georges

For Gabriela, being able to express her emotions and life experiences through her music and poetry has been therapeutic. Her engagement with the community has varied from performing arts programs to community festivals, drop-in programs and emergency relief work. She finds that the most interesting aspects of working with the community are ‘hearing each person’s story, getting to know them and developing a relationship with them’.

For her ECL project, Gabriela worked on creating an online arts space for people who are experiencing or have experienced grief and loss.  She also plans to organise multi-arts exhibitions to exhibit the work of those who contribute to the space.
