Monica Forson

Monica is a passionate community development advocate with extensive experience in government settings as a policy and project officer.

With a demonstrated history of working for state government and non-profit organisations (international and domestic), Monica is a respected young multicultural leader in the Victorian community. She counsels and advises a range of government and non-government stakeholders about the importance of diversity and inclusion for culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

Skilled in project management, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation and capacity building of youth and multicultural communities.

Monica’s work has been recognised by appointments Victorian Multicultural Commission’s Regional Advisory Group and Victorian African Action Plan Implementation Committee. She also received the inaugural Victorian Multicultural Excellence Awards – Youth Award in 2016, National Youth Week (Federal) for Youth leadership in 2015 and the Victorian African Community Awards, Africa Media Australia in 2014.

Currently Monica works at the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission.
