Colourful Movement – An ArtLife Showcase

Footscray Community Arts is excited to present the ArtLife Showcase for 2023 – an exhibition of new, eclectic and dynamic work from over 40 d/Deaf and Disabled artists in ArtLife Studio.  

Walk through our current major exhibition BRIGHT – curated by ArtLife Studio artist Pamela Debinacrat – and embrace the colour, joy and playful freedom of the installations before entering the One Day Only Showcase. 

 As you move from the Roslyn Smorgon Gallery into our Performance Space, take in the illustrative, figurative and abstract works of the ArtLife Showcase ranging from mixed media, print media, ceramics, and digital art.  

Inspired by the sensory experience of BRIGHT, the works are responding to the theme of Colourful Movement, conjuring up the active while capturing a sense of the vivid, inviting audiences to consider the relationship between the static and the gestural.  

So come along to the ArtLife Showcase and experience Colourful Movement for yourself!

As a NDIS Registered Service Provider, ArtLife Studio actively supports arts leadership, fostering ambitious artistic outcomes of d/Deaf and Disabled artists such as large-scale exhibitions, theatre performances, and funding opportunities for career development.
