School Holiday Workshops: Week One

Event Information

Footscray Community Arts is the place for creative kids these holidays! This April, your little superstars are invited to join us for an action-packed theatre workshop with the award winning ensemble, PO PO MO CO.   

Across three days, kids will take part in the FUNdamentals of Physical Theatre, a workshop for budding performers that explores how artists can transform and become someone else. 

Grounded in play and physical comedy, participants will learn how to make outrageous characters and funny scenes – using the human body to construct larger-than-life comic personas.   

On the last day, there will be an afternoon ‘open class’ where parents and carers are invited to watch, participate and play alongside the participants.  

Suitable for kids 6-12 years – this workshop is about building confidence and trying new things, no acting or theatre experience necessary!

Before Care: 8:30am–10:00am
Workshops: 10.00am–3:00pm
After Care: 3.00pm–5.00pm

Superstars – How to Book.

• Each child needs to be booked in separately. Please complete one booking, add to cart, then proceed to booking for the next child.
• This is a three-day program. Each day runs from 10am to 3pm.
• Childcare is also available, before (8.30-10am) and after (3-5pm) the program. If you need childcare, please add the childcare sessions you need to your booking.
• You will receive further information about the program a week before it begins.
