Asha Bee Abraham

Asha (she/her) brings her experience as an artist, independent producer and her background in human ecology into the role of Artistic Program Manager at Footscray Community Arts.
Since moving from the sustainability sector to the arts in 2012, Asha established her socially-engaged artistic practice, presenting projects in the National Museum of Singapore, Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik (ZK/U,  Berlin), Arts House (Melbourne), Fremantle Festival, and other contexts. She has worked as a Producer at Arts House, Creative Arts Officer at RMIT, and with a number of independent artists and collectives as an independent producer and artist. Alongside her role at Footscray Community Arts, Asha sits on the the board of the ArtsPay Foundation and the Darebin Arts & Heritage Advisory Panel.
