Gala Hingston

Gala is a passionate arts administrator and event manager who believes in the power of art to enliven community, communication and consciousness. Championing creativity and culture as transformative experiences, she loves to help bring diverse audiences to these moments of inspiration.

With Masters in Cinema Studies and postgraduate qualifications in Applied Psychology, Gala brings these dual passions for art and people to her work. She has had the opportunity to hone her professional skills in many Australian artistic organisations such as RISING, The Australian Ballet and Melbourne Recital Centre, as well as public events such as the Melbourne Marathon Festival and Western Australia Gourmet Escape.

A self-described professional eccentric, Gala is also a talented performance artist, musician, visionary, and proud footscray local. When Gala is not busy bringing audiences to an event, she can usually be found in the audience herself, taking every opportunity to be immersed in the art and musical culture of Melbourne.
