Jamie Rawls is a Melbourne-based arts practitioner with over 10 years of experience in the disability and community art sector. Her multidisciplinary approach and Art Therapy background informs her collaborative projects, often bringing together diverse artists of all ages to create individual works while, just as importantly, participate in meaningful group experiences. Her work at FCAC includes facilitation of community arts projects and workshops that provide opportunities for new skill development and focuses on art as language and as a tool for social change. Jamie is currently the facilitating artist for the Artlife Residency Program and delivers workshops with an emphasis on social enterprise while supporting artists to create pathways to expand employment opportunities through their practice. Passionate about inclusivity and accessibility, her philosophy is ‘Art is for everyone’.
