Jeevika Rajagopal

Jeevika Rajagopal (nomadicstatic) is a Naarm-based video & projection artist known for her playful and innovative approach to visuals. She has collaborated with performers, musicians and creators around town. A familiar face, she is regularly involved in local events, using her imagery to elevate and activate spaces.

Lifelong explorations of identity and belonging serve as both foundation and inspiration for her creative storytelling practice. Locally, she has worked for events and festivals including Strawberry Fields, Wide Open Space, Rising, Melbourne Music Week, Human Rights Arts and Film Festival and more.

For the past three years, Jeevika has carved out a niche as a lead projection artist collaborating with performers and creating bespoke visuals for original works. Recent collaborations include ‘The Honouring’, by Jackie Sheppard as part of FRAME: Biennial of Dance at Arts House, ‘PRIME TIME’, by Born in a Taxi and ‘ngalnya dhadjowa’ Beautiful Sunshine by Allara Briggs Pattison.

Jeevika is passionate about creativity and arts-led practice as an essential foundation for self-expression. With experience in design, project management, school and community engagement, and facilitation, she is constantly exploring ways to create opportunities for connection, expression and empowerment. Working in the not-for-profit sector for over decade, Jeevika is currently professionally based in Melbourne’s West at both Footscray Community Arts and L2R Dance where she focuses on storytelling as a vehicle to platform underrepresented voices.
